Jerome David Smith Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerome David Smith of Collinsville, Illinois, who passed away on February 26, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Allen Smith and Virginia R. Smith (Reiter); his sister Joan K. Smith; his siblings-in-law, Roger Wentz, Dennis "Ike" Haislar and Karen Jean Hill; and his father-in-law Emil "Ham" Ferrero.

He is survived by: his wife Kaye Smith; his children, Jason Smith (Amy) and Jennifer Lewis (Bruce); his grandchildren, Kassidy Smith (Connor Donahue), Sarah Bittle (Brendan) and Jake Lewis; his great grandchildren, Brayden and Owen; his siblings, Ginny Wentz, Trisha Haislar, Peggy Black (Chuck), Thom Smith (Faith) and Bill Smith (Debbie); his mother-in-law Evelyn K. Ferrero; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Hill and Dennis Ferrero (Carol). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
