Elbert Edward Eschman Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2025, at the age of 84, Elbert Edward Eschman of Collinsville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Otto Eschman and Kathryn Underwood; his stepmother Ida Eschman; and his brother-in-law James Hamilton. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ann Eschman; his children, Brian Eschman (Amy) of Columbia, MD, Diane Braeutigam (Jeff) of Collinsville, IL, Theresa Golden (Brad) of Colorado Springs, CO and Judith Fletcher (Vince) of Cameron Park, CA; his grandchildren, Robert Braeutigam (Brin), Samantha Vandaveer (Michael), Briana Copeland (Terence), Tabitha Golden, Lydia Golden, MacKenzie Fletcher, Reece Fletcher, Aleah Eschman and Brandon Eschman; his great grandchildren, Lexi and Nolan Vandaveer; his siblings, Arthur Eschman (Jean), Richard Eschman (Gail), Wayne Eschman, Barbara Hamilton and Linda Cronin (Patrick); and his stepsiblings, Jeff Loesch (Pam), John Loesche (Donna), Jim Loesche (Linda), Judy Schaefer and Joan Lugge (Tom). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Barry Wilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services Ltd. (2800 N Center St, Maryville, IL 62062). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (200 N Lange Ave, Maryville, IL 62062).
