Burkhead Sr. of Collinsville, Illinois, born in Carrollton, Mississippi, who passed away on July 19, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Raymond (Burkhead). He is survived by: his sisters, Effie Burkhead of Belleville, IL and Elizabeth Logan of Cerritos, CA; his children, Michele Battle (Michael) of Florissant, MO, Dovie Hines (Albert) of Mableton, GA, Carles Jr. (Karen) of Swansea, IL, Kim Jones (Patrick) of Hazelwood, MO, Carol Fox (Davanon) of Swansea, IL and Troy Knight of Collinsville, IL; his grandchildren, Carles Ryan Burkhead III, Caitlyn Burkhead, Myers Hines, Dalton Fox, Langston Hines, Austin Knight, Dylan Fox, Sayva Phillips, Avery Jones and Logan Jones; his great grandchild Apryl; his nephew Carl; and his close friend Wesley Bates (Patricia Randall).
