He was predeceased by: his parents, Velma and Raymond Penn of Collinsville; and his daughter Leslie Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Anne Hawkins; his children, Joseph Hawkins (Beth) of Ohio, Laurel Hawkins of Collinsville, Roma (Jimmy Kline) and Carmen (Paul Rose); his grandchildren, James, Rowan, Keagan, Marin Kline, Silas, Adler Hawkins, Alan and Edmund Rose; his sisters, Nancy Baker, Catrenia (Jeff Baber) and Lori (Dennis Shup); and his in-laws, Robert, Paula Knecht, George and Belinda Knecht. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
