She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Volkerding and Juanita Volkerding (Miller); her son Richard Scott Simpher; her brothers, Tom and James Volkerding; and her granddaughter Jessica Hibbard (Benwell).
She is survived by: her daughter Catherine Simpher-Benwell (Carrie); her grandchildren, James Benwell (Amy), Anna Lynn Grieger (Zachery) and Sydney Simpher; and her husband Larry Dodge. She is also survived by 4 great- grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends.
