He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virgil Harper and Verona Harper (Anderson); his children, Lori Donovan (Jim Young) and Phil Harper (Carla); his grandsons, Mike Donovan (Josie) and Pat Donovan (Kaitlin); his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Andrew and Ana Donovan; and his sisters, Pam Bell of Bradley, IL and Kathy Thomas of Urbana, IL. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots, Wounded Warriors or Tunnels 2 Towers.
