It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Marquis of Colfax, Illinois, born in Cropsey, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Martensen and Bessie Spawr Martensen; and her husband John Raymond "Jock" Marquis. She is survived by: her children, Ann Fisher (Alan) of Paradise Valley, AZ, Susan Brinkman (Jeff) of Colfax, John and J. D.; her grandchildren, Kelly Webb (Darius), Matthew Fisher, Bryce Givens (Erin), Preston Givens (Chasity), Sarah Givens and Mackenzie Hoekstra (Kurtis); her stepgranddaughter Brittany Ricketts (Anthony); her great grandchildren, Emory, Devon Givens and Beckham Hoekstra; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Braylon, Braxton and Brantley Ricketts.
