She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Hon and Martha Hon (Cunningham); and her husband William Swango. She is survived by: her sons, Gary Swango of Normal and Larry Swango (Lori) of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Alissa Swango of Washington, D. C., Blake Swango (Sarah) of Alexandria, Bethany Phillips (Sean) of Normal, Breanna Teig (Ian) of Windsor, Colo and Kelsey Billings (John) of Davidsonville; her nieces, Sue Hughes of Northport, Fla. and Connie Jo Holtman of Cincinnati, Ohio; her brother-in-law Joe Swango of Cincinnati, Ohio; her siblings, Leonard, Robert Hon and Dorothy Hauth; and her daughter-in-law Julie Swango. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hazel's name to honor the caregivers of the "Memory Care Unit of Arcadia Care" at 509 N. Adelaide St., Normal, IL 61761.
