With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darrel Simpsen of Colfax, Illinois, born in Anchor, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 26, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Simpsen and Hulda Simpsen (Schleeter); his wife Dottie Hellen Stone; his son Todd Simpsen; his sisters, Allyne Roach, Lois Lehman and Shirley Cumpston; and his stepbrother James Rohrabaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Simpsen (Lorann) of Colfax, Tanya Donelson (Phil) of Clinton and Dane Simpsen (Dawn) of Colfax; his grandchildren, Chase (Aja), Kyle Simpsen (Telisa), Courtney Patteson (Darryl), Taylor Carbonetti (Frank) and Riley Lorenz (Josh); his great grandchildren, Dash, Remi, Otto, Cambree, Kellan Simpsen, Knox and Charlie Patteson; and his sister Alberta Zachay of Minneapolis, MN..
