It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chella Yeakel of Colfax, Illinois, born in Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Chella may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eldon "Ike" Lain and Jean Lain (Jensen); her sons, John Yeakel (Noelle) of Bethany and Aaron Yeakel (Amanda) of Colfax; her grandchildren, Eldon, Seth Yeakel, James and Mia Yeakel; and her sister-in-law Cathy Lain of Bloomington. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
