He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Hinton and Merle Elizabeth "Betty" Hinton (Worden). He is survived by: his children, Daniel Hinton of Macomb, IL, Michael Hinton (Cari) of Castle Rock, CO, Janel Gruber (Justin) of Denver, CO, Michelle Martin (Troy) of Fowler, IL and Jerry Shepler Jr. (Tiffany) of Bowen, IL; and his siblings, Donald Hinton (Stacey) of Walnut Creek, CA, Mary Hinton of Aurora, CO, Sharon Farris (John) of Glendale Heights, IL, Kathy Gawlikowski (Joe) of Aurora, CO, Barb Gibb (Wayne) of Elizabeth, CO and Rosie Comet (Andy) of Aurora, CO. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
