He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Vail and Jean Ruthe Vail; his stepmother Helen Vail; and his mother-in-law Wanda Konkler. He is survived by: his wife Dale Vail; his daughters, Beth Capps (Michael) and Kelli Vail; his grandchildren, Andrew Vail (Mallory), Michael Peterson (Faith Switzer), Samantha Nelson (Ryne) and Adam Vail; his great grandchildren, Aidan Vail and Alan Petterson; his sisters, Pat Kitch (Bill) and Suzie McCombs; and his sister-in-law Kathie Nunberg (Steve). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
