He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Root and Clara Root (Logan). He is survived by: his wife Elaine Carle; his children, Tammy Jo Miller (Steve) of Bushnell, Rebecca Ann Root of Colchester, Illinois and Robert Dean Root of Colchester, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Jerrad Rothlisberger, Brett Yocum, Blaine Root and Jacob Miller.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, Masks are required at all times and we are limited to 50 attendees at a time. We ask that those in attendance please pay their respects and quickly exit the funeral home and remember to social distance.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Colchester Fire and Rescue Squad.
