He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Shelley and Elizabeth Shelley (Robinson); his wife Betty Downey; his son Michael; his siblings, Verne and Virginia Trotter; and his great grandchild Clara Eloise Shelley.
He is survived by: his children, Gregg Shelley (Tammy), Gary Shelley (Barb) and Vicki Black (Al); his grandchildren, Christopher, Kimberly, Sarah, Holly, Courtney, Bethanie and Nick; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Logan, Callie, Caitlynn, Kennedy, Hadley Jo, Hadley Grace, Sawyer and Emerson; and his sister Arlene Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
