With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Anne Gaines of Cobden, Illinois, who passed away on September 6, 2023 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Valerie Byrd and Carol Prieb; and her son Carlyle Dillavou. She is survived by: her husband Paul Gaines; her children, Hailey Gaines, Grace Gaines, Laney Dillavou, Jr. and Garrett Dillavou; her granddaughters, Kayloni Dillavou and Kiyah Dillavou; her sister Teri Hammond; her former spouse Laney Dillavou; her parents-in-law, Bill Sims, Judy Bradley and Chris Bradley; her siblings-in-law, Jessica Sievers, Cody Sims (Rachel), Josh Sims (Erin), Jason Sims (Jenna), Dylan Sims and David Carter; and also Charles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorials be made to Crain Funeral Home to help offset expenses.
