She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Owens; her birth mother Isolde Jean Lutz; her daughter Brandie Danielle Caraker; and her brother Stephen. She is survived by: her children, Angela Maelene Grant (John) of Buncombe, Robert Eugene Caraker, Jr. (Gretchen) of Dover, PA and Valerie Caraker (Brandon) of Cobden; her grandchildren, Leaonna Reena Robinett, Tina Marie Grant, Katie Jo Grant, Destiny Danielle Wheaton, Michael Eugene Wheaton, MacKenzie Viola Wheaton and Brandie Paige Caraker; and her brother Robert Anderson of Decatur. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
