He was predeceased by: his parents, Claus Magnus and Ellen Marie Chilman; his brothers, Wayne Chilman of North Vernon, IN and Marlo Chilman of Washington, IN; and his sisters-in-law, Ila Faye Price and Rita Clevenger of Galesburg, IL.
He is survived by: his wife Eunice Lucille Clevenger; his children, Beth Chilman of Harrisburg, Brenda Chilman of St. Louis and Eric Chilman (Stacey) of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Chilman, Evan Chilman and Dylan Chilman; his great grandchild Jackson Claus Grover; his sister Jane Hamblen; and his siblings-in-law, Eva Chilman of North Vernon, IN, Alice Jones of Washington, IN and Jim Clevenger of Galesburg.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (103 N Jefferson St, Cobden, IL 62920). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cobden Cemetery. A burial was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers can be made to Southern Illinois Hospice, First Presbyterian Church of Cobden or preferred charity.
