He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Peddie Grooms and Charles N. Grooms, II; his niece Christian Hope "Christi" Grooms; and his sister-in-law Kim Grooms. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Shields Grooms of Coal Valley, Illinois; his daughter Emily Grooms of Geneseo, Illinois; his siblings, Anna Laura Berry (Rick) of Madison, Indiana, Charles N. Grooms III (Nancy) of Madison and Kirk Grooms (Jennifer) of Madison, Indiana; and his nieces and nephews, Codi Grooms, Cati Grooms Loudermilk, Cortni Grooms, Sarah Berry, Suzanne Berry, Mackenzie Grooms and Nash Grooms.
