We bid farewell to Lawrence M. Taylor of Coal Valley, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 8, 2025 at the age of 80. Lawrence touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Taylor and Mary Taylor (Franks); his siblings, Bob and Marsha; and his stepson Douglas Duffy.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his daughters, Melissa DeClerck (Christian) and Andrea Duncan (Jeff); his grandchildren, Ryan DeClerck and Morgan Hicks; his stepchildren, David Duffy (Julia), Darren Duffy (Beverly) and Dalinda Harris (Ron); his stepdaughter-in-law Sally Herreid; his stepgrandchildren, Derek, Dustin Duffy, Ryan Archer, Allison Mahle, Tegan, Collin, Tyler, Abigail and Bailey Duffy; and also Patricia Carey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Riverside United Methodist Church (712 16th St, Moline, IL 61265). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at the Moline Memorial Park Cemetery (5001 34th Ave, Moline, IL 61265).
Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church or Chapel of the Interlude in Drake, Colorado.
