He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wayne and Minnie "Evelyn" Claybaugh (Gearhart); his wife Ruth Ann Coffman; and his sisters, Linda and Betty Claybaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Claybaugh (Peggy) of El Cajon and Karen Claybaugh of Coal Valley; and his grandchildren, Amy Leuenhagen (Eric), Jeriah Edgar, Chad Claybaugh, Ashley Rowatt (David), James McMurty and Sean McMurty. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
