Schnell of Coal Valley, Illinois, born in Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Schnell and Adeline Schnell (Jafvert); his wife Ellen Brobst; his children, Louis Schnell (Jennifer), Rebecca Carpenter (Bryan Snell) of New Windsor, IL, Harry Schnell (Evelyn Caulkins) and Raymond Schnell; his grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Emily, Paige, Lily, Corbin and Connor; and his siblings, Marianne Stablein (Ron), Paul Schnell (Melody), Tom Schnell (Marilyn), Bettendorf and David Schnell.
