He was predeceased by: his father Gary Carter; and his grandparents, Bill, Garnett Weis, Walter and Faith Sample.

He is survived by: his mother Joyce Carter (Sample); his sisters, Rachelle Carter of Bettendorf, IA and Alaina Carter of Rock Island, IL; his niece Hailey Clark of Bloomington, IL; his cousins, Susan and Brad Wentz of St. Augustine, FL; and his pets, Zeke and Bella.
