Velma Doty Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Doty (Coal City, Illinois), born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on April 7, 2019, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Smith and Velma Smith (Albrecht); and her brother Jack Smith (Carol). She is survived by: her children, Angela Tuthill (Randy) of Wyoming, Karla Carroll (John) of Austin and Daniel Corbin (Anna) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Trace Tuthill of Wyoming, Cade Tuthill of Wyoming, Noah Carroll of Austin, Michael Carroll of Austin, Owen Carroll of Austin, Gage Corbin, Odis Corbin and Clay Corbin of Columbia; her siblings, David Smith (Linda), Bill Smith (Patti) and Paula Runty (Bob) of Coal City; and her friend Herbert Wayne. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Velma's memory to the Coal City United Methodist Church Building Fund, 6805 E. McArdle Rd, Coal City, IL 60416.
