With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Theodore Smith of Coal City, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on May 25, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Roosevelt and Marguerite Smith; and his brother Hugh Smith. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Smith of Coal City; his daughters, Ebie Johnson (Tom) of Morris and Emily Tira (Brian) of Mahomet; his grandchildren, Grace, Tessa Johnson, Lilly, Ellis and Claire Tira; his sister Marguerite Pierard (late David) of Coal City; and his siblings-in-law, Holly and Denny Mallaney. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and their families; and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family to disperse to many local organizations would be appreciated.
