She was predeceased by: her mother Julia Buss; her stepfather Gordon Buss; her father Harvey Wendt; and her brother-in-law Guy Galante. She is survived by: her sister Elaine Galante of Bensalem, PA; and her stepbrothers, Kevin and Jerry Buss.
She was also a collector of many items and as a result, numerous charities and organizations, both near and far, benefited from her unique collections and her generous monetary donations. Among the many recipients were the Pulmonary Hypertension Foundation, Coal City Fire and Ambulance, Shriners Hospitals for Children, the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine, Philanthropic Education Association of Morris, Caring Cottage in Wilmington, Grundy County Animal Control and Rescue, the local Boy Scouts, as well as the people of Mexico, Haiti and Ukraine who delighted in her clothing donations.
