It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert V. Ames of Coal City, Illinois, who passed away on May 15, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Tom Ames; and his parents, Victor Ames and Eileen Ames (O'Leary). He is survived by: his wife Jill Ames (Dragoo); his children, Stacy Miller (Mark) and Victor Ames (Leah); his grandchildren, Katelyn Miller (Mike Kipka), Mark Miller (Lily), Samantha, Jessica and Derek Ames; and his siblings, Sue Gerke (Larry), Kathy Sargis (Larry) and Keith Ames (Felicia). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
