She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Schellenberger and Freda Schellenberger (Vaughn); her sisters, Connie Crosby (Lloyd "Red") and Darla "Deeg" Fuller; her mother-in-law Martha Consuelo Ramat; her sister-in-law Carmen Minor; her niece Melinda; and her great-nephew Jaxon Cullen.
She is survived by: her husband Max Valdez of Coal City; her daughters, Moree Harney (Bud) of Coal City and Kristina Carmen of Coal City; her grandchildren, Maximo Valdez II, Frank Carmen, Lilly Harney and Xander Carmen; her sister Nancy Dunn (Joe) of Delaware, Ohio; her siblings-in-law, Eddie Valdez of Coal City, Jesse Valdez of Coal City, Teresa Cortez (Roberto) of Diamond, Manuel Ramat of Joliet and Ben Minor of Joliet; and her uncle Sherman "Spud" Vaughn of Romeoville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
