He was predeceased by: his father John R. Hennessy; his stepfather Roy Wheaton; and his brother-in-law Glen March. He is survived by: his mother Marlene Rueger of Channahon; his stepfather Bob Rueger of Channahon; his sons, Bryan Hennessy (Betsy) of Gardner, Marty Hennessy (Sara) of Minooka and Steve Hennessy (Steph) of Berthoud, Colorado; his grandchildren, Emma Hennessy, Claire Hennessy, Alex Henze (Chantal), Kyle Hennessy and John Hennessy; his great grandchild Emmett Hennessy; his sister Deb March (late Glen) of Highlands Ranch; and his close friend Jack Davis of Minooka.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Reeves Funeral Home (75 N Broadway St, Coal City, IL 60416).
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in John's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
