With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnne Peters of Coal City, Illinois, born in Braidwood, Illinois, who passed away on January 27, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Watters and Bernice Watters (Barker); her stepmother Sylvia Watters; her son James Peters; her siblings-in-law, Calvin and Joann Peters; and her nephew Calvin Peters.
She is survived by: her husband George Thomas Peters; her sons, John Peters (Janet) of Coal City and Daniel Peters (Cathy) of Carbon Hill; her grandsons, T. J. Peters (Nikki) of Oak Park, Tim Peters (Beth) of Frankfort, Ed Strahan (Brenda) of Braidwood, Ryan Peters of Braidwood and Nick Peters of Coal City; and her great grandchildren, Jackson, Alice, Daphne, Elliott, Abby, Zach, Addison and Sophia.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in JoAnne's memory to the Coal City United Methodist Church or to the Coal City Food Pantry.
