He is survived by: his children, Michael Payton of Wilmington, Lawrence Payton of Coal City and Andrea McCollough (David) of Coal City; his stepchildren, Dustin Westfall of Grand Junction, CO and Jaime Bartholomew (Brandon) of Monesson, PA.; his sister Nancy Cowan of Kansas City; his brothers-in-law, Richard Beggs of Kansas City and Al Anderson of McAllen; and his grandchildren, Taylor Wilson, Maggie McCollough, Christopher McCollough, Lane Payton, Alicia Visnaukas, Adrianne Galbraith, Angelie Bartholomew and Aubrie Bartholomew. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
