He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Egan (Thomas) of Naperville, IL, Amy Nelson (Paul) of Wheaton, IL and Laura Jaicomo of Elmhurst, IL; his grandchildren, Paul Nelson (Christina), Breanne Litkenhus (Jared), Marisa Egan, Brandon Nelson (Reagen), Olivia Nelson, Isabella Egan, Brady Nelson, Alexa Egan, Bowen Nelson and Genevieve Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Dorothy Litkenhus, Greta Litkenhus and Mary Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in his name may be directed to Lightways Hospice.
