He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Kent and Helen Kent (Didlake); and his siblings, John Kent, Ann Kent and Dorothy Luker.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Kent of Clinton, IL, Rex Kent (Sandy) of Columbus, IN and Lisa Hensey (Rich) of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Celia, Bennett Hensey, Alexa and Cameryn Kent; and his wife Sandra.
