We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2021, at the age of 88, Stephen J. Smith of Clinton, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frances and Vira Smith (Bryan); his brother William B. Smith; his nephew Jody Smith; and his brother-in-law Jim Bielenberg.

He is survived by: his grandsons, Steve, Doug and Dan; his wife Jackie Smith of Clinton, IL; his children, Sara Esch (Paul), Steve M. Smith (Corrine), Doug Smith (Karen) and Dan Smith (Ginny); his sister Marilyn Smith Bielenberg of Peoria, IL; and his sister-in-law Elaine Smith of Clinton, IL.. He is also survived by Eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Ocean Conservancy or The National Parks Conservation Association, or St. John's Catholic Church.
