He was predeceased by: his parents, Ada Strange (Nichols) and Ralph Strange Friday; his sister Phyllis; and his son Jan. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; and his children, Cecilia Hyland, Shell McKenzie and John. He is also survived by several grandchildren and Barbara's daughter and son.
