He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley and Alma Lafferty Nixon; and his siblings, Sheldon, David, Teddy E., Helen M. Baker and Virginia E. Ryan.
He is survived by: his wife Martha M. Lampe; and his children, Cynthia D. (Clyde), Steven L. (Susan), Phillip R. (Cathy), Don M. (Carrie), Bruce E. (Lori) and Kyle B.. He is also survived by 8 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, 3 great grandsons, 2 great granddaughters, 1 step grandson, 1 great step grandson, and 1 great step granddaughter.
