He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Gieker and Mary E. Davis Gieker; and his sister Eleanor Naught. He is survived by: his wife Catherine D. Taylor; his children, Kelly Schreacke (Shawn) of Burton, IL., Carrie Herkert of Camp Point, IL., Melissa Voorhis (Les) of Clayton, Lonnie Creasy (Stephanie) of LaPrairie, IL. and Melinda Wittler (Roger) of Mendon, IL.; his siblings, Gloria Lantz (Ron) of Clayton and John Gieker (JoAnn) of Beloit, OH.; his brother-in-law John Naught of Clayton; and his close friend Sam Herkert of Clayton.

Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
