We bid farewell to Linda Boyd of Clay City, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 23, 2025 at the age of 77. Linda touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Welty and Ruby Althea Welty (Smith); her siblings, Dr. John Welty, Dr. Stephen Welty, Jeannie Owens, Ruth Ann Welty and Patricia Pruitt; and her grandparents, Arthur, Nellie Smith (Baity), William and Laura Welty (Gillispie).
She is survived by: her husband Don Boyd of Clay City; her stepchildren, Greg Boyd of Johnsonville, Tracey Shelton (Mike) of Fairfield, Denny Boyd of Fairfield and Tony Boyd of Johnsonville; her grandchildren, Isaac Fulk (Jordan) of Clay City, Jackson Dye of Clay City, Caroline Hinterscher of Clay City, Hayden Boyd of Clay City, Carter Boyd of Clay City and Braxton Boyd of Clay City; her sister-in-law Ruthie Welty; her friend Linda Engelmeier; her brother-in-law Wayne Owens; and her pet Snickers. She is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren; 8 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Clay City Christian Church (907 S Main St, Clay City, IL 62824).
Memorial donations are suggested to Axiom Gardens of Flora Activity Fund or Fur a Good Paws, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
