He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Shea and Kathleen Shea (Hague) of Clarendon Hills, Illinois.; his sisters, Kay Heylin (Tom) and Mary Knowles (John); and his nephew Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Ripp (Gensler); his sons, Sean (Cara) and Craig (Kalie); his stepchildren, Ryan Ripp (Ruzica), Kari Rosenstiel (Dan), Brent Ripp (Kelly) and Tyler Ripp; his grandchildren, Cillian, Niall and Evelyn; and his siblings, Terry Shea (Pat) and Annie Emmons (Larry).
