She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Peggy Gilbert (Charles), William Oaks (Carla), Marcus Oaks (Kay) and Robert Oaks (Carol); her grandchildren, David, Daniel, Kirstyn Oaks, Emily Cantrell (Nicholas), Micah, Jonathan Oaks, Rachel, Hannah M. and Joshua Oaks; her great grandchildren, Althea and Wrigley Oaks; and her siblings, Paul Degelmann (Linda), Jeanette Vix (Dennis) and Linda Grecco (Anthony).
