It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachael Greenwood of Cisne, Illinois, who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 42, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Delilah LeeAnne Ellis; her grandfathers, Roy Schell and Larry Eikleberry; and her father-in-law Lewis Greenwood. She is survived by: her parents, Steven Schell (Jamie) of Tuscumbia, AL and Valerie Schell Eikleberry (Eikleberry) of Cisne, IL; her husband Joshua Greenwood of Cisne, IL; her son Matthew James Ellis (Audrey Ellsworth) of Flora, IL.; her stepsons, Bryce Greenwood of Fairfield, IL and Maddox Greenwood of Flora, IL; her siblings, Samantha Richardson (Craig) of Fairfield, IL and Logan Colbert of West Salem, IL; her mother-in-law Barbara Shiers of Xenia, IL; and her grandparents, Judi Schell of Johnsonville, IL, Ray, Sherryl Jungwirth of Cisne, IL, Jim and Lavada Smith of Dundas, IL. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, special friends and co-workers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home (305 Park St, Cisne, IL 62823). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial Donation in memory of Rachael may be made out to Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home to help with expense's and will be accepted the day of services. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at http://www.meridithfuneralhome.com.
