He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Esther Serrano; his children, Saul Serrano, Jr. (Guadalupe), Diana Flores (Rafael), Ana Serrano (Abel) and Erick Serrano (Maria); his parents, Ignacia Serrano and Francisco Serrano; and his siblings, Florina, Silvia, Uriel, Jose Luis, Sergio, Irma, Francisco, Maribel and Felipe. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
