He was predeceased by: his parents, Teresa Patiño and Jesus of Dios Martinez; his siblings, Ana, Elena, Rodolfo, Moises and Audifas; and his son Rodolfo.
He is survived by: his brother Juan; his wife Vicenta Hernandez; and his children, Guadalupe, Tomasa, Maria Vicenta, Anita, Virginia, Sonia, Lucia and Ismael Jr.. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
