It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Lynn Smith of Christopher, Illinois, born in Buckner, Illinois, who passed away on June 29, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Cox and Lois Cox (Watwood); her son-in-law Patrick Gallagher; and her sisters, Vicki Jo Roblyn Rees and Judy McKinnon Sharon.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Smith (Sandy) of Sesser and Lori Gallagher of South Elgin; her grandchildren, Haley, Emily and Maddie; her brothers, Gary Cox of Christopher, Kenneth Cox (Paula) of Christopher and Randy Cox (Virginia) of West Frankfort; and her former husband Larry Smith of Christopher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
