He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith Huie and Mary Huie (Jolley); his siblings, Ilah Winn, Mable Page, Metzie Ward, James Huie and Charles Huie; and his parents-in-law, John and Olga Slaviero.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Huie (Slaviero) of Christopher; his children, John Huie (Jean) of Benton and Ronnell Karoski (Mike) of West Frankfort; his grandchildren, Garrett Karoski of Chicago, Courtney Thomas (Bryan) of Mulkeytown and Tyler Huie (Haley Ing) of Christopher; his great grandchildren, Tripp Tyler Thomas and Teagan Grace Thomas; his sister Jean Kretz (Vic) of Christopher; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Huie of Christopher and Ronald Slaviero (Vicki). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
