She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Thompson and Mildred Thompson of Mulkeytown, IL.; her husband Lloyd W. Friend; and her son Jeff. She is survived by: her siblings, Reed Thompson, Marj Bunton and John Thompson (Elena); her son Joe (Cindy); and her friend Lyn Rentfro (David).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the Mulkeytown Christian Church or the Southern Illinois Christian Service Camp in West Frankfort IL.
