It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvelane Antoinette Cole of Christopher, Illinois, who passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvel Ulysses and Lillie Straub (Simeon); her sisters, Mildred Straub, Marvette Straub and Margie Scott; her nieces, Tammy Tucker and Megan Stubblefield; and her brother-in-law Larry Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Susan A. Broadway of Christopher, James L. Broadway II of Galesburg, Kari M. Cole of California, Michael L. Swanson, Steve C. Cole (Valerie) of Princeville and Kevin L. Cole (Becky) of Rockford; and her siblings, Marvel Straub (Rose) of Buckner, Mary Lou Voyles (Max) of Du Quoin, Marilynn Jane Wright of Christopher, Mel Straub (Julie) of Caseyville, Marvel Straub Jr. of Collinsville, Melba Griffin of Collinsville, Mary Straub Greenville and Shirley Ellis of Collinsville. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
