He was predeceased by: his parents, James Prather and Lillie Irene Prather (Hall); his wife Betty June Prather (Taylor); his daughter Sally Ann Prather; and his brothers, Charles Prather and James Prather.
He is survived by: his children, John David Prather (Gayla) of Mulkeytown, Gayla Kain (Chuck) of West Frankfort and Dan Prather (Carol) of Herrin; and his siblings, Mary Ramsey of West Frankfort, Margaret Potocki of Staunton, IL and Ross Prather of Arizona.
