He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald W. Flatt Sr. and Phyllis M. Flatt (Lamb); his brother Oliver "O. D." Flatt; and his children-in-law, Rocky Lane and Sherry Flatt (Luke Thery).
He is survived by: his wife Ada Jean Flatt; his children, Gina Lane and Gerald W. Flatt III; his grandchildren, Lacy Troyer (Steven), Amanda Smith (Ira), Jerod Flatt (Maranda) and Sarah Nava (Sam); his great grandchildren, Stormy Smith, Derek and Zane Troyer; his stepsons, Louie Thery (Carol), David Thery (Jenny), Matthew and Luke Thery; his sisters, Nancy Bailey, Donna Sevenski (Mike) and Kathy Miller (Brad); his sister-in-law Wanda Flatt; and his cousin Don Lee Lamb. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the S-V Luke Thery Memorial Scholarship fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
