It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sara Sands of Chrisman, Illinois, born in Danville, Illinois, who passed away on December 12, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Strain and Martha G. Strain (Watson); her son Stephen A. Sands; and her granddaughter Kyra E. Sands. She is survived by: her spouse Loring B. "Larry" Sands; her children, John B. Sands (Kelly) of Danville and Lori A. Enos (Tracy) of Danville; her grandchildren, Kyle Sands of Peoria, IL, Jenna Johnson (Joshua) of Bloomington, IL, Amy Lacy (Phil) of Oakwood, IL and Nick Bott (Lindsey Stewart) of Covington, IN; and her great grandchildren, Eli Sands, Elizabeth, Catherine Lacy and Thorin Bott. She is also survived by friends and neighbor children.
While we know she is now free from the suffering of Alzheimer's Disease, and ultimately Covid-19, we will dearly miss her quick wit, her infectious laugh, her selfless spirit and the love she shared with us all.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sally's name may be made to the Pleasant Meadows Senior Living Activities Fund in care of Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home and Crematory, 10 E. Williams Street, Danville, IL 61832.
