With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phillip A. Schmit of Chrisman, Illinois, born in Danville, Illinois, who passed away on December 17, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Nicholas "Nick" Schmit; and his nephew Harold "Butch" Drake. He is survived by: his children, Phillip A. Schmit II of Alaska, Cory J. Schmit (Rhonda) of Ridge Farm, Chris Schmit (Ashley Zarate) of Bismarck, Justin Curry (Christina Rodriquez) of Schaumburg, Illinois and Faith A. Schmit (Dillon Gregory) of Springfield, Illinois; his siblings, Ronald Schmit of Arizona and Patricia Schmit (Tom Gogerty) of Danville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Andy, Nicole, Tyffani, Cole, Marleigh, Bryant, Braxton, Byntlee, Carson, Zaedyn of Chloe, J. J., Jillian and Julia; and his brothers-in-law, David, Steven, Rodney and Tim McNulty. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
